Protecting the UK’s estuaries and coasts
The Environment Agency’s Estuaries and Coasts team provides leadership on the protection and sustainable restoration of the UK’s estuaries and coasts, working across priority areas including habitat restoration, marine policy and regulation and blue carbon.
Evidence, expertise and innovation underpin the work of the team. Our role? To deliver our signature values-based comms training to upskill the EA team in how to craft messages and campaigns that translate this – oftentimes complex – evidence and expertise in ways that cut through with target audiences.
We delivered a workshop which framed the Environment Agency’s natural capital approach around the intrinsic and societal values of natural ecosystems, with the aim of connecting with audiences on a deeper, more personal level and in doing so, helping further influence policy and legislation and inspiring estuarine and coastal communities to prioritise building resilience for the benefit of people and wildlife.
