The Cause

Championing under-loved local Cornish catch

The Effect

Working in partnership with the Cornish Fish Producers’ Organisation, we created Seafood Cornwall as a consumer-facing brand designed to drive domestic demand for the full breadth of Cornwall’s seafood species.

A campaign highlight involved us working with chefs, processors, local fishermen and influencers to rebrand megrim as Cornish Sole and spider crab as Cornish King Crab, pushing them to be amongst the most-sold at fishmongers’ counters across the Duchy. We secured national and international print media, TV and podcast coverage of the project, which saw Cornish King Crab stocked in two national retailers for the first time, and Cornish Sole added to the Mindful Chef menu on an ongoing basis.

Seafood Cornwall has evolved into a living and breathing vision for sustainability in Cornish fishing, promoting thriving fishing communities, healthy seas and tasty local seafood.
